Ceramic coating is a liquid, silica-based (SiO₂) protectant that chemically bonds to your vehicle's clear coat and hardens into a slick, glossy, semi-permanent layer. It repels water and dirt, resists UV fading, bird droppings and bug etching, and makes washing far easier. How long does ceramic coating last?
Our System X and Gtechniq ceramic coatings last from 3 to 10+ years depending on the package you choose and how the vehicle is maintained.
Is ceramic coating worth it in Texas?
Yes. Intense Texas sun, heat, pollen, bugs and hard water are tough on paint. Ceramic coating adds UV and chemical resistance and makes the vehicle much easier to keep clean.
Does ceramic coating prevent rock chips?
No. Ceramic coating resists light marring, chemicals and UV, but it's too thin to stop rock chips. For chip protection we recommend paint protection film (PPF) on high-impact areas, topped with ceramic coating.
How soon can I wash my car after ceramic coating?
Keep the vehicle dry for the first 24–48 hours and avoid soaps and automatic car washes for about 7 days while the coating fully cures.
